Soul Stew, formed in 1990 as the house band at the Bamboo Club for their soul /R# series is made up of some of the most accomplished and versatile studio musicians in Toronto. Soul Stew plays a mixture of Soul, Rythmn and Blues, Funk and Jazz inspired by the classic soul sounds of Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone. The Philly Sound,Motown and Stax Volt shaped into one seamless groove.

Holly Cole, Bruce Cockburn, the Canadian Brass, Anne Murray, Rita McNeil and Jane Bunnett.
